Fauxidermy

There's taxidermy, defined as beady moose eyes peering down at you from the fireplace while you watch TV, and then there's fauxidermy. Fauxidermy is basically a classy, less creepy version of that and I am totally feeling it. I love a good plaster gazelle smiling down at you from a bold backsplash of color. It is fun, modern and a great way to give your space some personality by shocking your guests (in a good way of course). You can find the ones pictured above at zgallerie.com, one of my favorite home decor sites.
